"I'm so glad I was able to show you around our little town, Summer Storm." A female Ice fairy said, entering her house. A Water fairy followed her, looking very happy and energetic. "I'm the person who should be glad here, I've met so many nice fairies and made so many friends." Summer Storm hugs the ice fairy, which the other fairy soon returns. "Thank you so much, Snow Storm." Snow Storm smiles, releasing the water fairy from the hug. "There's one more person I'd like for you to meet." She started to walk towards a door on the other side of the house. Summer Storm followed, curious about the sudden change in mood from Snow Storm and what seems like from the room.

"My brother has been," Snow Storm started, pausing in front of the door, thinking. "Extremely sad lately. For a while, I should say." She turns to the water fairy, a sad look on her face, which makes Summer Storm confused. "His name is Flaming Wings, but he doesn't like to be called that anymore."

"Why?" Summer Storms asks. "It seems like a nice name." Snow Storm looks down to the floor, almost in a shameful way. "He lost his wings about two years ago in a bad blizzard." Summer Storm was shocked. A fairy that lost his wings? No wonder he would be sad. But being locked up in his room? "Not only that," Snow Storm continued, bringing Summer Storm out of her thoughts. "He lost his leg and our mother." Tears were starting to for in her eyes. "Not long after that, our father took his own life, leaving me and my older brother by our self's. Everything's been tough, but it's really taken a toll on him the most." She looked up and smiled through the tears.

"That fairy that you met, the one making all of those potions?" Summer Storm nodded. She remembered her. Flowering Lilly was a strange fairy, she didn't really pay attention to them, although the fairy was kind enough to give her a job to gather ingredients for potions. Not only that, but to possibly help her on potions, since Summer Storm was handy with potions as well. "Well, I brought her here to see if she could make a potion for my brother. I heard rumors about her before, a weird fairy that didn't go out often and obsessed about potions, the reason why, I figured out, was because she lost her wings, too. When she heard about my brother, she moved here to be closer when she discovers the potion. I introduced them to each other, and it slightly lightened his mood, but," Snow Storm glanced at the door behind her, sadness returning on her face. "He's still depressed."

Summer Storm was shocked. Two fairy's that lost their wings? She thought that Flowering Lilly's wings were natural. And she thought that being attacked by a bird was bad, but she proudly showed her scar across her stomach, as proof of rescuing her adopted sister, Silver Dust. "I wish there was something I could do to help him..." She said, looking at the door behind the ice fairy. Snow Storm smiled, stepping aside and gesturing towards the door. "That's why I brought you here." She said. "I figured you might just be the fairy to cheer him up at least a little bit."

"Wait, me?" Summer Storm asked, shocked. "I'm just a normal fairy. There's nothing that differentiates me from another fairy." Snow Storm puts a hand on her shoulder. "Except you empathy for other fairy's. Summer Storm, you the most compassionate fairy that I know of, and that is what I think my brother needs right now." She looks pleadingly at Summer Storm, in which she sighs and nods. "I'll do it. Nobody should be sad, not as long as I'm around." Snow Storm pats her on the shoulder. "That's good to hear." Once again, she gestures towards the door, this time Summer Storm walked towards the door.

When she placed her hand on the door knob, she noticed it was colder than it should have been. For some reason, a chill went up her spine, making her whole body shake just a bit. Taking a deep breath, she turned the knob and slowly opened the door, cooler air creeping up against her skin. She didn't quiet enjoy the coolness, being a summer fairy, but she stepped into the room anyways, trying to keep warm and not shiver. Her eyes scanned the dark room, dust collecting everywhere, everything looking untouched for quite a long time. Some dead flowers stood in some places, their corpses covered in a light frost, making their dark colored bodies look even darker in contrast of the lighter colored frost and dust. Some paintings decorated the room, but behind the dust, their colors seemed to have faded. Eventually, a pile of extremely old leaves caught her eye, recognizing them as what fairies would use for bedding. On it, she saw the form of what she assumed to be a skinny teenager fairy, pale skin showing signs of having no sunlight for a long time, but with a strange hint of an underlining pale blue. Long red orange and yellow hair had frost on it, tangled and unkempt for a long time as well, reaching down the figures back. But the thing that stood out the most to Summer Storm was the sharp looking points poking out of the hair on the figures back, where the wings should have been. They were a dark red, as if they were a bright red once, but now the life in them had disappeared, leaving them with almost no color.

She walked towards the bed, not knowing what to say or do. Once she was close enough to touch him, she paused. What could she say? She didn't know how to get him to talk to her. While she was in thought, she didn't notice the boy turn his head towards her and scrutinize her. His cold fire red eyes glared at her as she stood there in silence, annoyed because she left the door open a bit, letting in some light. He waited a bit, wanting to see what she would do, but after a while he grunted.

"What do you want?" The fairy growled, breaking Summer Storm from her thoughts. She looked down to the glaring fairy, his cold red eyes sending shivers down her back once again. She mentally gulped and smiled down at the fairy, trying to come off to him as friendly. "I just wanted to talk to you." She said, sitting down on the floor next to the old bedding. She sat down where she could see his head, which he turned away from the door. The cold floor gave her goose bumps, making her wish that she could have at least worn her best stockings today. They sat in silence for a while, neither one of them moving nor talking.

With another grunt, the male fairy sat up and rubbed his eyes. "If you’re going to stay," He growled, getting quiet annoyed by the other fairy's presence. "The least you can do is close the door. If you haven't notice, I don't like to go out and I like the dark." Summer Storm nodded her head and walked over, closing the door completely. The room got very dark, and Summer Storm could barely see her own hand in front of her. She tried to find her way back to the bed, but with nothing to guide her and no sense of where anything was, she was lost. She stumbled forward, only hoping her foot would touch the bed and she wouldn't fall.

She did find the bed, but she didn't expect it to be that close. Her foot caught the bed, making her fall and onto the fairy on the bed. She didn't think about using her wings, and she didn't have enough time to react. But the poor fairy beneath her got the breath knocked out of him, from a sudden weight landing on top of him. Within an instant, Summer Storm was off of him and repeatedly saying that she was sorry. Carefully sitting up, the other fairy tried to catch his breath, eventually covering up the water fairy's mouth to silence her. "Its fine," He sighed, figuring that this wasn't going to stop unless he did something. "Now stop before I attempt to burn you."

In an instant, Summer Storm stopped and took the hand away from her mouth. "Wait," She said, almost bouncing up and down. "You’re a Fire fairy?" She couldn't see it clearly, but the other fairy gave her a dumb look. "Yeah," He said. "Didn't my sister tell you? It's kind of obvious she set you up to do this." Summer Storm shook her head. She assumed he would've been and ice fairy, or even an air fairy, even with the name. Like her, her name really had nothing to do with her job during the summer season; she mostly dealt with growing herbs and potion ingredients, and maybe the occasional summer shower. "I didn't have many fire fairy's where I came from," Summer Storm said. "But I've always had a fascination towards fire and the fire fairies."

The fire fairy looked away from the fairy next to him. "Well," He sighed sadly. "I used to be good at it, but now I get lucky if I can produce a small flame." He screwed his eyes shut, remembering the days before the blizzard. "I haven't even attempted it, because I've been told that I might never be able to produce a single flame ever again." Tears started to fall from his eyes, freezing before they hit the bed when they fell off his face. Summer Storm knew what was going on, so she did the only thing she thought would be right.

All of the sudden, the crying fairy felt two arms wrap around him, the warmth lost at the skin. He froze, not having received this kind of affection from another fairy for a while. Summer Storm felt how cold his skin was, almost feeling frost spreading across her skin. She let go when she felt him stop shaking from the crying, shivering herself a tiny bit. "Don't cry," She said. "Besides, you can at least try to. They said 'might', but that doesn't mean 'never'." She sat there patently, waiting as the other fairy contemplated over what she had just said. Should he try it? If he failed, he would feel lesser of himself, becoming even more depressed than he was now. But the other fairy was right; there was no overall harm in trying.

Concentrating, he dug deep inside of himself for any sort of fire magic that might be left, not frozen over by the internal frost inside of him. Summer Storm controlled her excitement, not wanting to break the other fairy's concentration. The fire fairy scrunched his eyes in concentration, the mix of not doing this for a long time and not finding any un-frozen magic making this harder than he remembered it to be. Moments passed, but nothing happened, but then, something did.

A spark in the fire fairy's hand lit up a tiny portion of the dark room, and also lit up Summer Storms eyes. Most sparks that come out of fire fairies were red, orange, or in some cases, even yellow, but if her eyes hadn't mistaken her, was that a blue spark? With a few more sparks, a tiny flame appeared, and as it slowly grew from the size of a dandelion seed to a sunflower seed, so did Summer Storm's eyes. Her eye's had to have been tricking her; she never heard of blue fire before. But, right before her very own eyes, this fire fairy, who believed he couldn't produce another single flame in his life ever again, just made the impossible and unheard of reality.

When he felt something warm on his skin, the fire fairy opened his eyes. He sat there, eyes wide open in shock. Right in his hand, burning weakly but still there, was a tiny blue flame. The shock broke his concentration, and almost instantly the fire went out, the blue glow disappearing and being swallowed by the surrounding darkness. Both fairy's sat there, one in shock and the other in pure amazement. Minutes passed, silence being shared between the two.

"I..." The fire fairy whispered. "I did it..." Something inside of him built up, something he hadn't had in a while. He smiled, looking down at his hands then back up to Summer Storm. "I did it!" Summer Storm smiled back. The fire fairy jumped up and started spinning, looking at his hands. "I did it!" He kept cheering. "I did it! I did fire magic!" Summer storm stood up and grabbed one of his hands, and with a look of excitement, started to spin with him, too. They laughed, something that the fire fairy hadn't done in a long time, and finally figured out what he was feeling; happiness.

After a while, they calmed down and sat on the bed, breathless, but still laughing a bit. Summer Storm looked at the fairy next to her and smiled. "You sure are an amazing fairy, Flaming Wings." She panted, placing a hand on his shoulder. The fire fairy looked at her, a sad look on his face. He looked down at his lap, studying his intertwined fingers, thinking. Summer Storm remembered that his sister had said he didn't like to be called that and was about to apologies when she was stopped.

"Fire Soul." Summer Storm looked up confused, only to see the fire fairy looking at her, eyes burning with confidence and determination instead of cold annoyance. "What?" She asked, confused as to why he said that. "My name isn't Flaming Wings anymore." He said, clenching his fists. "It's Fire Soul."

So, that's the first chapter to my Fairy AU! :excited:  It took only two days to type it up, too. I'm so proud. I pat myself on the back for that.  :patonback:

So, in this chapter, we meet Fire Soul, one of the many male main characters, Summer Storm and Snow Storm who are not syblings, storm is a common name with mentions of a weird fairy called Flowering Lilly, who are some of the many female main characters. So, here's some info so you guys wont be too confused,

Fire Soul: He's a Fire Fairy that lost his wings, left leg*didn't specify, but yeah*, and most of his Fire Magic. He has an artifical leg, thanks to a fairy that I might add later, idk but still doesn't have wings. Although most of his fire magic is frozen because of the freeze that will forever be in his body, he still has a tiny bit he can access to create blue fire, which has never ben recorded in fairy history.

Summer Storm: She's a Water Fairy that has just moved into the town Fire Soul and many other soon to be introduced futher on fairy's live in. She's great at growing herbs and other things used for potion making, as well as making potions as well. She's a surpisingly happy fairy, considering the fact that she was attacked by a bird in the human world that was trying to hurt her adopted sister. She has a scar across her stomach to prove it, with she proudly showes off. She loves to cheer other fairy's up, and help them out with anything that she can.

Snow Storm:once again, not relaited to Summer Storm She's Fire Soul's younger sister, who's also been taking care of him and trying to find ways for him to get his wings and confidence back. Although she's been trying to be honest with him, there's a secret she's hinding from him, one that she's afraid will make him hate her for enernity. She's usually the fairy to show new fairy;s around the town, considering her family has been around the longest and everybody knows her already. She's a kind fairy, one that sympathizes with other fairy's, which is rare to find in Ice Fairy's like her.

So, that's a little about the character's in this chapter. More chapters to come, I hope.

Hope you like, tell me what you think, and please tell me if there's any mispelling and where! Dancing dragon XD

PS: Most character's in this series will be mine. Only one, which is Summer Storm, belongs to another person, which shadedarkus own her. BUT, BEFORE YOU GO TELL HER THAT I'M USING HER CHARACTER, I HAVE GOTTEN PERMISSION TO USE HER CHARACTER! So, calm down. It's fine.
